Detectives probing the death of a man found wrapped in cling film after a sex game today named the victim.
Police confirmed that the body of 47-year-old Alun Williams, a head chef for ferry firm P&O, was found at a flat in Dover, Kent, last week.
His name was released as a local sex industry worker offered to help police investigate the tragedy.
The woman, calling herself Anna, told a local newspaper she had worked as a maid to a dominatrix and could give police an insight into the world of domination.
The woman, who is not a suspect, said some of her former clients liked to be wrapped in cling film but they were "extremely rare."
Speaking about her past experiences, she told how she had wrapped up clients in cling film and left them for up to seven hours.
During the £80 session she would then blindfold her willing customer before blocking his airways on his request.
Anna, who works as a carer during the day, claimed that two people were needed to use cling film for gratification.
Tragic Mr Williams worked as a chef at P&O Ferries for 30 years and prepared food for passengers on trips between Dover and Calais.
A P&O Ferries spokesman today said: "We were obviously desperately sad to hear of Alun's death, and reported it to colleagues shortly after we heard last week.
"He was very well known, working for us as a head chef, and our thoughts are with his family and friends.
"At this stage I think it is appropriate that we keep our comments brief as there is an ongoing police investigation."
Two men, aged 21 and 34, were arrested by police on suspicion of Mr Williams' murder on August 20, the same day his body was found.
The men have been released on bail until November 7 "pending further enquiries", Kent Police said.
A spokesperson from Kent Police today said detectives are still waiting for the results of the victim's postmortem
He said: "How the victim was found is integral to the investigation so it would not be appropriate for us to comment.
"What I can say is that we are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry and until we get the post-mortem results.
"We cannot comment any further."
However a police source added:"It's looking likely that this was the tragic result of a sex game going badly wrong."
