A Philadelphia man was arrested for murdering a cross-dressing male prostitute and dumping his body parts in a vacant lot, sources say.
Charles Sargent, 43, thought he had sexual relations with a female prostitute and allegedly grew enraged after he found out that she was actually a man.
His girlfriend said that he confessed to the murder when she came home unexpectedly to find him dragging what looked like a body wrapped in sheets.
"This is going to be you next. You and your children," he reportedly told his girlfriend, if she squealed.
Then he allegedly blasted music loudly to drown out the loud whacks of his axe.
Despite the threats, the woman alerted the police, who took Sargent into custody, where he admitted to the manslaughter, authorities said.
The dead prostitute's body parts were uncovered in an empty lot in the city's Strawberry Mansion neighbourhood.
"We have an individual in Homicide now. He's the one who told us where we could find the body," Police Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey told the Philadelphia Daily News.
Sargent was charged with murder, possession of an instrument of crime, abuse of a corpse and making terroristic threats, reported local station WCAU.
He has previously been charged with rape and aggravated assault.
