Rihanna made history on Sunday night when she became the youngest ever singer to sell out the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
The 25-year-old, who also drew one of the biggest audiences ever for a female artist when she performed in front of 67,000 fans, tweeted her excitement as she embarked on the South African leg of her Diamonds world tour.
'Sold out stadium show in #Johannesburg !!! Over 67'000 people #Jah,' she posted on Twitter after her gig at the weekend.
This was not the first piece of history the Pour It Up singer has made this year.
In June RiRi became the youngest artist to headline at Stade de France in Paris in front of a sold-out 80,000 strong crowd.
Rihanna is due to perform in Cape Town later this week after performing to crowds in Australia and New Zealand earlier this month.
Meanwhile, the owner of a Thai bar has been arrested for obscenity after pop star Rihanna turned up and proceeded to post a number of tweets describing her eventful time there.
The singer was in Thailand on holiday when she chanced upon a graphic sex show and told her Twitter followers all about it.
However, it turned out the the live commentary wasn't good publicity for the show's boss as he was subsequently arrested for operating an entertainment venue without a permit and for providing a lewd show, the Phuket Gazette reports.
Warunyoo Jornmuang, the owner of the Season bar in Patong, on the island of Phuket, was reportedly arrested after an unannounced tour of the area by Phuket's governor Maitri Inthusut.
It isn't the first time that Rhianna's Thai tweets have got a local trader in trouble, though.
A fortnight ago she posted a picture of herself with a slow loris, a protected Thai primate, with the comment: 'Look who was talkin dirty to me'.
Police were not impressed though as the practice of charging tourists for pictures with the animals is actually illegal, so officers swooped in on a 20-year-old man and 16-year-old boy who were arrested on suspicion of being in possession of protected animals.
